This is the sign up list for the Geocaching History Challenge that will start in the Minnesota State Parks starting on 11 May 2008 as part of the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Events.
- Post your name and which park you would like to adopt. I will edit the list to show which parks have been spoken for and by whom.
- I will keep the list of parks that people could also do with the idea of awarding those parks if no one else is able to do them.
- I have listed the parks by region. A map of the actual location of all the parks in Minnesota is HERE.
- This is on a first come first serve basis. The idea here is to help the SP to get good coordinates for hides, to assist in the placement, offer suggestions for unique hides (bird houses for example), and to help with placing stages of multi caches.
- Please note that I think this list is not perfect as there are a couple of areas for which I have questions. For example, Garden Island SRA is 18 miles out in Lake of the Woods from Zippel Bay SP. There is a meeting on December 13, 2007 where these questions will be answered.
- The caches will need to be placed before 11 MAY 2008 so they can approved prior to that date. Otherwise there will be too many caches for Surfer Joe to deal with in too short order.

Only one cache will be used for the Geocaching History Challenge. It will be up to you and the park manager whether it will be a traditional or multi.
That leaves the rest of the park for you to play in.

| One question I have from your previous thread on this. Will groundspeak allow the caches if it is not owned by the cacher and by the state. I am wondering if there would be a problem as you have to pay for access to a state park. |
