The MNGCA was well represented at the 1st Annual Invitational Geocaching Competition, at Hawn State Park in southern Mo. Team MNGCA took 1st place in the team competition.
This was first the event of this magnitude and it was very successful.
Towelbooth took second place in the individual course B competition. Of the three courses that were set, this was the most difficult. The Hawn State park was an excellent venue with a very difficult terrain. This park was amazing.
All in all, for a first time event it was very successful! We all look forward to the future events put on by this group.
Currently we are staying just south of St. Louis in order to get on the road early in the morning to cache/travel back to Minneapolis.

All that practice on KB, CAG, and RJ caches over the winter must have paid off. Good going you guys.
I wonder if the local media will pick this up? |

Most excellent!
You did us all proud boys.
Now, I wonder who could get us some media attention
This is worth letting the state parks connection person know about.
Well done guys. |

Don't forget the practice at the "get sauced event" I'm sure that came into play.
Nice job!!! |

Congratulations you hardcore geocaching maniacs!
I found this pic on the event page of all the participants. I see the MNGCA team in the bottom right.
Here's the picture. |

To paraphrase M*A*S*H:
Snap it up!’ yelled Moe. ‘We’re the pros from Dover, and the last caches we saw must be forty-eight hours old by now.’. |

Hello all,
The event was a huge success. Everyone there had a great time. I got to meet a lot of great cachers, including the guys from the MnGCA
Due to various reasons, the team I was on dropped out, and one of the original members of Team MnGCA didn't feel up to it, so I filled the 4th slot on the MnGCA team. We not only had the fastest time, but we were also the only team to score all 20 punches. It was a great experience, and I hope to someday actually make it to Mn to meet some of you!

| Congrats to you guys! Sorry I missed it. I'm in Seattle on vacation so I'm getting a little caching in on the side. |
