With the possibility that the sole geocache in Grant County is missing, this presents an obstacle to anyone attempting the county challenge. The owners of this cache have not been active on geocaching.com since last October, so it doesn't look likely that they will attend to it.
We live more than 100 miles from Grant County, so placing a new cache there is not an option. But would any other central MN cachers in the area be willing to do so? Thanks for considering!

| I would ask a previous finder where it was, and then replace it yourself. |

I found that "turkey in the woods" cache. It was a good 80-85 feet away from the coordinates. Closer to the pond.
Send me an e-mail by April 2Oth and I could drive out of my way to hide a replacement can for you. I will be heading down to St. Cloud on the 21st. Unless the King won't let that count for his challenge....that is why I'm posting this out in public. _________________ Summer is too short |

There is a new cache GC1565C that appears to be in Grant County.
Google searching for Niemackl lake returns reponses stating it is both in Grant and Stevens counties. However, this and this link together with Google Maps of the cache site appears to point to this cache being in Grant.
Does anyone have a good website or tool to confirm?

I have NOT ever gone down the lake access road, but I have traveled highway 9 alot since '78 and the cache should be in Grant county based on the county signs on the highway. _________________ Summer is too short |

Since Grant County is the only county I do not have, I was thinking about replacing the "Turkey in th eWoods" cache. At the same time, I feel it is not quite right doing that for the County Challenge. _________________ The trouble with the world is not that people know too little, but that they know so many things that ain't so.

Nice! Thanks for confirming! We'll probably stop by for this one in a week or two as we finish up our last 7 counties.
