| If Moe's 16 footer will make then I know that my 17 foot kayak can do the job. Count me in. |

I'd definately be up for a canoe-in cache. The longest canoe trip i've taken, so far, was 6 hours with a rental canoe. - speaking of, if you place the cache someplace where there is a canoe rental service, more cachers will have access to it. Just a thought. _________________ Come Find My Cache

so did this ever happen? I see it was posted in 2004.
I'd love a few canoe caches in SE mn with start and end coordinates and estimated time of trip. that would be wonderful. There's some great canoe country here that I haven't been on in ages.
we only took the canoe out twice this whole summer. |

Old thread.. haha.. too bad.
There is now a cache on the Cannon River and several more placed to be published within a couple of weeks. Looking for fellow cachers/canoers this summer to do the series.
Cannon Pit Stop
There should be up to six to seven more just along the Cannon Falls to Miesville Ravine stretch (about a 6.5 mile trip, 2 hours). Still looking into the feasibility of placing caches between Miesville Ravine and Redwing. That adds another approx 10 miles to the trip. |

MNGCA COTM nominated Cannon River Bend has finally been replaced today. All of you river riders will be happy to know the planning has started this week for the extension of this series. The goal this year will be for additional caches between Miesville ravine and the Redwing (highway 61 bridge) landing. We have aspirations of planting caches as far west as Northfield but not likely unless I get volunteers to tag along. |
