i'm working with the latest gsak, itunes and my ipod v1.1.2. after running out of patience trying to import the .vcf file via 'contacts', i got mad and tried to drag & drop the file into the ipod. i got the resulting message: "geocache.vcf" was not copied to the iPod "Ann" because it cannot be played on this iPod. but i guess its not a music file..
irregardless, i'd love some help! also, my microsoft office products do not function properly on my computer if that makes any difference.. |

| i guess i'll reply to my post just as an fyi for those searching. if you turn your ipod to 'disk use', it shows up under my computer - as a drive. open the drive, and you can drag .txt files of web pages, etc onto the ipod. they show up under the notes feature. it'd be cool if gc.com made an easily download-able version of cache pages.. |

A video tutorial on ipod caching.... HERE
Of course it is written for the PeeCee and not the Mac
so expect dozens of annoying steps in order to get anything done |

While listening to this month's "cachers of the round table podcast" on the topic of paperless caching.
I was thinkin' how could would it be to import the gpx file from gsak to vcard or text.....
little did I know it would be this easy ok...few stumbles but not bad!!!!
Well worth the effort imho. |
