Ahh so this is the famous six degrees of separation I've heard about. Was interesting running into so many geocachers at one cache on a single day.
BTW, hello all, kinda new to the sport myself, only 14 cache finds, almost half of them I found yesterday, as I still don't own a gps, the one I want hasn't been released yet, and isn't due to be out until the middle of March.
Hopefully I'll run into more geocachers in the future, might have to make it to one of those breakfasts (after I get my GPS that is). |

| As long as I've jumped into this forum, I should mention that I ran into Sandtracker1 at East Bush Lake. |

Well I can add a new one I think. I ran into SkyBluePink at the Little Bug Motel on Friday (27 Feb).
She said she hadn't been doing much caching this winter. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

| I have a half-link...our family was spotted heading into the woods looking for "The TB Gathering at Oakwood" by the cache owner, head05. We did not, however, see him and have yet to run into anyone in the wild. I'm sure it's just a matter of time tho'... |

Don't hold your breath. It took me over a year and over 400 finds until I ran into Sandtracker in Burnsville. Some of us are just natural born loners. |

LOL R.J. - as a kinda funny story, we ventured out to "Third Base" when it had the incorrect coordinates on it, and we had no luck. We returned the next morning in the icy rain, and 30 minutes later, still no luck. I remember at one point, as the kidlets were slipping and falling all over the ice, that it'd sure be nice if Liverbird and the rest of the WicketsWanderingPonyPatrol magically appeared to save us from the horror of another DNF....but alas, it didn't happen. Does that count as a link for this thread? |

Ah-ha! Now I can officially play in this thread!
Yesterday, KC0QEG found me searching for R.J.'s Smile. Very tricky cache indeed, and fun to actually meet another cacher in the wild! |

Today I met Pto at Tre-sure by ringbone (GCHVDP). I guess he surfs the forums now and then but doesn't post; he knew about the 6 degrees chart. This was the first time he ever met anyone caching.

Might want to read up:
http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=66018&hl=
and more importantly this fine tidbit:
http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=66018&st=150
Apparently he was not terribly pleased w/the new rules in place since his departure and decided he should make a new account to support his claims but he forgot to log out of his ringbone account before logging into the new one
I know that Aaron was out there for about 3 hours yesterday and was unable to locate it. PTO was there at the same time and ended up finding a guy's missing cell phone but not the cache...
His cache page reads "near by" does that mean 10 feet, 50 feet, 510 feet?
