| So, what does everyone think of the changes to GC.com? I think the new geocaching google map will grow on me, and I like the counter before the logs. Any cool features I missed that anyone found? |

I saw both changes this morning and at first glance, I don't like the map changes and the counters were wrong on the cache I was looking at.

Website is down again but this morning I saw that they added "friend requests". I'm sorry but geocaching.com is not a social networking site nor should it have the functionality of one. They have already proven that they can only provide a bare minimum level of service for what they used to provide and they certainly don't need to add new crap to slow it down even more. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

The site is working for me but that is the stupidest thing they have done yet. I don't read the forums over there, but don't they get input before adding something like that? _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

Everything looks fine on that page for me. Except there is text that says "I plan to attend (in the next 30 days)" for no reason. After you add someone as a friend, it shows a block of information about them and the number of caches hidden is wrong. _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

That just popped up today too. Must be for events that you've posted a "will attend." _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

with the Friends feature "you'll be able to watch your friends in the near term (and get emails when they log caches)" if they accept your invite.

Why on earth would I want to know when someone logged a cache? If I want to watch a cache I can do that, but getting an email everytime someone I know logs anything? Not interested! _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |
