Another cacher we all know and love had a far different interesting experience at this cache. But I promised not to tell. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

and i thought my hunt for this elusive cache was tough back in december, in near-blizzard conditions. suddenly i feel much better.
so who's story is it that you can't tell, even by masking their identity? |

If you read the logs on that particular cache it is blantatnly obvious.

while i make that same assumption, it's not automatically true. me thinks it's time for R.J. to spill his beans, regardless of whether or not they're the same beans moe is referring to. |

i had a somewhat similar experience to that of drat. i never encountered anyone doing anything creepy, but it dawned upon me that it was peculiar to find several lone males parked in the overflow area of a rest area. when i glanced into a car i was walking by and noticed that the man sitting inside, (staring straight ahead, thankfully,) had a deliberately open fly, i was quite grateful to be on my way out.
this cache location turned out to be an infamous rest area profiled on the channel 9 news last fall. and in response to that report, evidently, trees have been removed and new fencing is being added, i've read. |

Never had a bad day caching. Or even a bad cache.
Couple of times came close to having a couple of fangs embedded in my skin from rattlers out in California. But since I'm invading their homes, I don't hold it against them for protecting it. I know I do protect my home. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

I don't know about the worst, but the latest one to piss me off. We were in Quad Cities last weekend, and I had 5 caches that I wanted to visit. Because of limited time, it became apparent that I'd only get to one. I know the woman who started this traveling cache, and it had been in Illinois since January, so I decided this would be the one. The latest hider posted corrected coordinates (which have since been edited) so I spent an hour and a half on this one. The park gate was locked. The cache was up a steep hill, similar to the one at Cherokee Park. After I get up the hill, I run into private property with .35 mile to go.
Got back to the car, and decided to try again, arriving at the spot I had walked ! I got within .18 mile which pointed to a ravine between two residences. I didn't think it was park property, so I gave up.
After leaving Quad Cities, different corrected coordinates are posted ! |
