I didn't see any respond to this question in the threads, I'm trying to decide which map to get. Garmins site says the following:
| Quote: |
City Navigator®
City Navigator provides detailed maps of major metro areas as well as rural coverage and points of interest.
City Select®
City Select provides detailed maps of major metro areas as well as rural coverage. Each CD also contains points of interest and automatic routing, giving you the capability to generate point-to-point routes in MapSource and on compatible Garmin units. The CD is included with the purchase of several Garmin units and is also available for purchase as a stand-alone product.
|
So my question is, is there added POI's and routing in Select that are not in Navigator? |

My current understanding is that the current version of City Navigator (v. is the only one they've updated this year. Last year they had both Navigator and Select, and this year only updated Navigator with new map information and have "discontinued" Select. All I know is that both GP and I have maps of some of the recent suburbs that previous version users don't have.

CW is correct. City Navigator is now the current product. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

| The names on the Garmin software always confused me, but City Navigator North America v8 was the one I am using. |
