I've seen a few logs recently from the Geocoin Pirate but never had it happen to me. But I've only released a few coins. _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

At least you know someone stole it as opposed to those that take them out of circulation and add them to their personal collections w/o telling anyone. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

That really sucks. We should string up all pirates by their tights.

That account has only been active for a week. I think it's too early to be sure that he/she is really planning on stealing the coins indefinitely. I wouldn't give up all hope yet. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

But I though the lack of pirates is what causes global warming? _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

But he only logs the coin and not the cache. _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

| Some people think it might be a practical joke, I'm uncertain considering how new they are. If they persist, I might suggest putting a note on your active coin pages to tell cachers to keep the coin out of missouri. |

| Hasn't happened to me.. My problem is newbies taking the coins and not logging them properly, or never caching again. |

Yep, the pirate has one of my coins. I too am not sure what the real deal is with this.

Have my eye on this one, but no movement yet. Got a note from someone who noticed it, I figured it was a cacher?...
After I heard the "news" I sent an email thanking them for the grab and was looking forward to seeing where it lands. No response???
Oh well... CACHE ON!!!!!!! _________________ round n' round we go! |

You won't see any from the pirate - he's a banned member. _________________ Hmm... |

It might be worth your while to do what this guy did: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=545855
Not sure if it matters, but if he ever shows them to anyone to log, or the like, at least the identity of the theif will be known.
Unlikely, but better than nothing. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |
