The MnGCA will be moving to a new webhost shortly. Our free hosting through 1and1 is up in December and we will be moving to a different hosting company in order to try and eliminate some of the issues we've been having with the database server, poor response times to questions, etc.
Things to expect:
* Hopefully nothing. It should appear as a seamless transition to the MnGCA userbase.
* There may be a short period, depending on your own ISP where you will not be able to reach the new site due to your DNS not being updated. I will post the IP address of the new site for you to use in the mean time.
We will be moving the old site over and hosting the two concurrently to make certain everything is working before taking down the 1and1 host.
If you have any questions, please post them here and one of the MnGCA Board Members or one of the webmasters will answer it.

OK, nobody laugh, but what does that mean in English? What is a DNS? If my computer is 8 years old, will it work? |

As I said, most people won't notice any difference.
DNS is what makes www.mngca.org into its IP address of 82.165.131.6.

24 hrs ahead of schedule we were forced to make the host switch because of a DNS failure on 1and1 with our site.
Everything should be up and running but please contact webmaster@mngca.org if you find any bugs.

When I went to the website last night I got a 404.
This morning not only is it alive but it is snappy!!! I like it.
