Well, had thought I could make it, but mixed up my dates. I have a show to do on the 4th and 5th. Sorry - this would have been great!!

I'll probably be there but not sure how much I'll do of the run...depends on how I'm feeling when I wake up tomorrow. I'll at the very least make an apperance since it's just down the street from my place.

1. Don't forget to bring your GPS cable if you don't have a USB capable Garmin or an SD card (I will have a reader for MSPMatt).

2. We will have bean bags available for those of you that want to attend the event but don't want to compete.

3. There are a total of 31 caches in the park currently. If you haven't been to Lebanon Hills yet, it might be a good time to start Wink

4. If you are competing, you own.

5. Hunting is crap, caching > *!

Also don't forget that there is a $5 fee to cover the cost of the shelter. Please do not stiff us on that. I know it sucks but I have shelled out over $350 as well as taken out a liability insurance policy to cover the event -- we would like to at least recoup most of the shelter fee.

Thanks!

Do they allow beer? Beanbags need beer.

Quote:
Section B - Drug and Alcohol Use

It shall be unlawful, when in a County Park, for any person to:

1. Serve, possess, consume, sell, barter, furnish, give, purchase or attempt to purchase any alcoholic beverage in violation of State Statutes;

2. Serve, possess, or consume any alcoholic beverage, except beer and wine in picnic areas or other areas designated for such use, unless otherwise authorized by permit;

3. Possess in an unsealed container or consume any beer or wine on County Park properties set aside or designated as a parking area, road or parkway;

4. Possess or bring into a County Park beer or wine in kegs, barrels, or case lot quantities without a permit;

5. Be under the influence of alcohol or other controlled substance;

6. Use or be under the influence by reason of inhaling any substance defined as an "inhalant"; or

7. Serve, possess, consume, sell, barter, furnish, give, purchase or attempt to purchase any controlled substance, except the possession or consumption of such substance with a lawful prescription.

So, it seems we can have beer, as long as we remain in the picnic area. Very Happy

I want to personally thank everyone that came out. It was a gorgeous day and a ton of fun -- even though I didn't actually hit the trails it was still awesome.

Thanks to Arcticabn for setting up the caches, maps, etc. A great job I must say!

and now Lucid has the "honor" of going and getting a new GPSr too! Laughing

I agree, it was great fun, although I'm still amused at how many thorns will go through cargo pants to tear up my legs...but the arrow kept pointing straight THAT way, and who am I to argue with the arrow! Razz
