|
|
A reporter from KSAX out of Alexandria is looking to do a story on geocaching. He asked that we put him in touch w/some people that would be able to take him caching, etc.
The nearest people that *I* know of are onionpond, former hawkeye, and loneeagle_24 and they are all 1+ hours away.
Anyone out that way know of someone closer that we can put this reporter in touch w/or would any of you guys be willing to handle this?
Let me know ASAP. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Although that sounds like it would be fun and interesting, I am not sure of anyone that is close to that area. I just haven't had time in my busy schedule to do much caching. I will be heading up to northern Mn to get a big section of the northwest part of the state for the county cache challenge on Thursday and friday of this week. As of right now my plan is to go up Hwy 71. This would take me through the Sauk center, and long prairie. That is still a bit of a distance from Alexandria. It's just not going to work timewise for me. I have gotten most of the caches from around Alexandria anyway. It wouldn't be any fun to find a cache that I've already found.
I'll have to pass on this. Maybe some other time. If I take any time out of my full two days I just don't think that I would get accomplished what I am planning on. _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

Don't know if he frrequents these forums, but Superfiz has been hiding lots of caches out that way. Onionpond may not be too far away either. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

I would love to do On the Road to Victory (south of Alex)and My Home Town (next town to the south). That would give me the excuse. I wouldn't be able to go until Sunday, Oct 8th. because of prior commitments. Would that be acceptable? _________________ Summer is too short |

I have a prior commitment this coming weekend, but if the reporter can wait until the 14th or afternoon of the 15th, I'd be game. I think it would take me more than an hour to get to Alex.
I know that Rainmaker29 wanted to look for caches in Sauk Centre and Alexandria.
Another possibility is MN-CACHE-TRACKER. He's in Little Falls, which looks to be about the same distance. |

I am heading up to Alexandria on Saturday Oct 7th for the races at Viking Speedway. On Sunday I am planning on finishing my last 2 counties, Otter Tail and Wadena, and then some more caching in the area. When is the reporter looking to go caching? _________________ "The world is a dangerous place. I forwarded former hawkeye's information to him earlier this week. He has not responded. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

If I don't hear from the reporter by this evening-I will be making plans for Sunday. I can do the caches on a trip to the cities. _________________ Summer is too short |

Bill-
We are still looking at the story but another reporter will cover it...
I'll pass this on the reporter but I doubt it will be this weekend...
I'll have the person that is going to put it together contact Linda...
Thanks so much,
Todd Hicks |
