| I'll bring the ammo box for the first Geocache 101. We can work up some ideas on what we need to fill it and the description page with and then place it sometime the following week in the center of the Twin Cities, say Roseville? See you at 8am! |

I can also provide a cache--I currently have a gladware container soaking in bacon grease, then we can fill it with knives, fireworks, cigarettes, matches, bullets, and porn and place it in a State Park. J/K!!!!! I was thinking of bringing an ammo can myself, but all my spray paint is in the garage and thus frozen solid, so all the ammo cans I have are as they were when I bought them. Hopefully I'll be able to even make it--8am is two hours after I normally go to bed, but with not caching for almost 3 months, I have some catching up to do so I'll try to get up early--in October, with a couple of exceptions (like Concrete Rainbow) all the caches I had downloaded to my GPS but hadn't found made a nice ring at a 12 mile radius from my house, and now I can go two pages with "filter finds" and only get 7 miles away. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

!!CHANGE OF PLANS!!
OCB in Coon Rapids does not open on Saturdays until 11am
(despite what the kid told me when I first called over there)
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=a4687faa-58c7-40ca-aa60-287c061415b9
New time is 11AM
We could still meet up in that parking lot or someplace else at 8AM and go caching in groups if you want to, then meet up for lunch. There will be some new faces coming in from the north that may be fun to cache with.
I am currently revising the cache page and I am emailing everyone who signed up to make sure they know we have a time change. Please post your new plans so we can get some groups together (weather permitting) |

Well..... the idea for the breakfasts started way back last fall, but we were having a hard time getting it all together.
I called over 30 places in my attempt to find us a spot. Most places wanted an additional room fee or to add an automatic percentage to the bill.
Many places wanted a guaranteed attendence or a least a minimum attendence or they would charge extra. Several places wanted pre-ordered meals. Most places were not at all flexible about serving times and folks just wandering in a half hour or more late.
Some places have limited staff for breakfasts and they would have to bring in an extra person to help serve 15-20 people. Some places were just too small to accomodate seating us together plus space for their usual weekend morning customers.
While I was calling around for a spot in StPaul, OCB was the only facilty that was friendly and welcoming to a geo-event there. They would let us have all the space and flexibility we needed at a reasonable meal price with no extra fees or expense, no matter when, how many or how few people showed up.
The buffet style restaurant seemed like an ideal solution since we never seem to know who will actually attend an event, 80% of the people tend to wander in late to any event, we could walk around freely chatting to each other and we could just keep on pulling up chairs and filling space until we were ready to go. Nobody cared that we were loud or that we were switching our seats around a lot. We all ate, talked and had a good time (I think). |

Interesting--you just increased the odds of this night-owl's being there. Funny, every other OCB has breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday, but the one in Coon Rapids just has to be different. Don't they know that they can't ring the till when the doors are locked!!!!!?????? _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

| Being a night owl, I was looking forward to this time change, but we have a big push on at work, so I guess I won't make this one eithor. The joys of the defense business. Maybe next month. |

Centris,
Thank you for the update on the time change. I know you have been busy lately and I really appreciate you taking the time to start and set up these breakfasts. We all owe you a big thank you!
I will be at this one. I'm still sad I couldn't make the last one. |

It's not for over a month, but the April 24th Breakfast Buddies cache has been moved from Maple Grove to Burnsville at 14150 Nicollet Ave. Probably enough events going on for the north side and it would be a good idea to move the next breakfast south.
The cache page isn't available but should be once March's breakfast has passed.
The Breakfast on March 27th is still in Woodbury. See you there! |

Unless cinder blocks start falling from the sky, I'm going geocaching in the Woodbury area tomorrow after the breakfast.
Hope to see some familiar faces at the buffet! |

JT and I are meeting at my place at 6am, caching on our way there. See everyone around 8am. Wish I could go out after, but I'm going house shopping and made an appointment with a realtor before looking at the important things in my date book. |

Great breakfast! I've never seen so many geocachers in one room before. Thanks for setting it up... it's always good to see everyone and meet new faces.
