| I'm looking for help with my modem. Each time I try to go on-line, under a warning "port was disconnected due to hardware failure", it says "NetZero unable to communicate with modem. Make sure modem is properly connected and turned on". So, the only way I can get it to work is to go into modem properties in My Computer and remove the modem and then add it back in from the list. I have the Creative Blaster modem on it. I have to do this every time I want to go on-line. Is my modem going bad? Thanks... |

I'd try another modem in your computer. Do you have a spare?

no, I'll probably have to buy another one. I put this one in the computer in 1998, shortly after blowing the original one in a lightning storm....then found out about surge protectors  |

Are you going to be at the Breakfast Buddies? I can give you a few modem cards to try. Otherwise, I can just mail them up to you.

no, I'm up in Duluth and in the middle of moving to a new house (with 15 acres and a trout pond in the woods...where I got lost when I went looking for it w/o my gps, but that is a whole another story)...that would be great if you can....I'll pm you with my new address, if you can wait a week until we are moved there....thanks!!!  |
