OK, I SOOO want that job!

although, in reality, wouldn't it make sense to work a deal with FedEx and UPS or even USPS to add some trackers to thier vehicles to see where they go...I figure more data can't hurt!

Another interesting article -- though definitely less terse -- on the subject of mapping appeared in The New Yorker in April.

And to think, before I got into caching, back in 02 or so I ran across a job that was basically the same thing as that. Now I could kick myself for not taking it.

I'm not entirely sure I'd be a good canidate for that job. I'd load up nearby geocaches and try to drive as close as I could to the area. My maps would have roads where there are sidewalks, trails and open fields :p

Ok, well maybe not THAT bad, but the temptation would certainly be there. Very Happy
