I wrote this little program, you can either enter a DMS at the top or a deciman degree at the bottom and click submit and it will convert it to the three different ways of showing lat long that I have seen:
http://www.sirzman.com/LatLongConverter.cfm
If you have D M.xxx use the top one, just don't fill out the seconds. |

In my Garmin etrex Ledgend, I can go into the main menu and into Setup then into Units and there I can change the Position Format from hddd mm.mmm to hddd.ddddd or hddd mm ss.ss
Perhpas that will help you too... |

To convert dd.dddd to dd mm.mmm, multiply the .dddd part by 60.
Thus 46.5000 = 46 30.000 |

*feels good he's not the only one that isn't finding a program to do these conversions...*

I do like Pear Head does:
Also...if you are looking up driving directions, try www.maporama.com instead of mapquest and you will find the coords that you can key in at the bottom of the map page. (maybe mapquest does this somehow now.... I usually just go to maporama) _________________ Everyone has a photographic memory..some, like me, just don't have any film. |
