I was out this morning doing some cache maintenance checks on a few of my caches. I noticed that the trees are changing color. At one of my caches (Scenic overlook) over just east of Granite Falls the view is just amazing. Some trees are just starting to turn while others are various sorts of brown, yellow, etc. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. |

I was actually at the Scenic Overlook in Granite Falls yesterday on my tour of a couple caches in that area... The view was great and the trees were definitly changing, noticed it quite a bit on our way to the ruins at the wayside site...
Thanks for bringing us out there it was definitly a great time.

Chad and I were on vacation out west for the last 2 weeks, and completely missed the changing colors in Minnesota! We did hit the Black Hills of South Dakota when the aspen trees were at their peak, and everything was a beautiful gold. _________________ Jillibean |

Leaves went down latter part of this week in Ely- but the tamaracks are still a beautiful yellow in contrast to the evergreens. Come up for our Octoberfest on the 18th! We have tried to get as many accordion and buttonbox players as we could from around theIron Range- _________________ LIFE IS GOOD;CABIN LIFE IS GREAT |

I think colors are starting to peak in the cities--the Highland Water Tower in St. Paul was open for one of the two times a year it's open to the public for fall colors. And yesterday, I went to a few caches in Eagan, and saw some good colors. Your oranges, reds, and yellows, and there's some shrub that turns a brilliant purple that I thought was pretty cool. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |
