I suggest then to have your weekday test around a mid month weekday and the End of Month BB on the last Saturday. If it works then it may be possible to either have both each month or to alternate months.
Maybe a vote on the board as to who know they can make a week day and who can't.
I for sure can not make a week day cache as I have to be at work by 0700 Monday through Friday (except my off Friday's).
Just a thought. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

thanks for the input.....one of the things that is great about all geocaching events is that ANYBODY can host them not just MNGCA.
MTN-MAN has also told me that they can be ANY time of the day or week....
I'm also considering Holding an "non-mngca event" at 1 or 2 a.m. at an all night diner just to see who would show up. Not an breakfest buddies or anything like that...just wondering how fun it would be....
...but back to breakfest buddies one of the main problems is that it is always held on the LAST sat. of the month....why not be flexable to other days, first sat. etc.....
Speaking for JT and Myself we often need to be at work on the Last Sat. of a month....
oh...I got 75 degrees and sun today...I just came in the house for a beer..what am I doing online...i'm outta here... |

| why? Not every geocacher can make weekends...just trying to change things up a little. I normally work on Sat. AM's and I'm sure I'm not the only one that has "stupid" hours. |
Yep, I have "Stupid hours" too. I work 2 days, Then I'm off 2 days. Every other weekend I work fri sat and sunday. So the odds of events falling on my days off are 50/50. More like 90% I work the day of the events. I've got luck for the Duluth campout and the Lake Wissota event.
I like it Kitch! Go for it! (I can pick a day (that I have off) if you need help .

| My schedule changes month to month, I'm often on call on the weekends, so I agree, go for it. Like you said, it's a test - if you can make it, go for it. If not, see you at the next one. Thanks, Kitch, for setting this up! |

I also work every weekday (starting at 0700) But I understand the reasoning for trying this...Go for it.....
If it works out I would be strongly in favor of some sort of alternating schedule like Arcticabn suggested. That seems like the most logical way to make it work for more people.
I have only attended one BB so far (Crystal) and it was a blast!!! Looking forward to the next one

The next two Breakfast Buddies will be Coon Rapids on May 28th and St. Cloud on June 25th. They are in the queue for approval and should be posted shortly.
Every third Breakfast Buddies will be out-state and will be posted in advance to give everyone time to plan for a day of caching around it if they are coming from a distance.
There are only four locations outside of the cities (Duluth, Rochester, Mankato, and St. Cloud). We will work them all in eventually. This should make almost everyone happy. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

St. Cloud has some of my favorite caches. I have been exploring, for a long time, the chance to nominate a particular cache there for COTM. The timing is never right.
June 25th would be perfect!!! |

I attended the last BB that was at the Machine Shed in Woodbury, had a great time. My family all had one suggestion, 8:00 AM was too early, it was hard getting everyone up and out the door that early to be at a location by 8:00, and as the events move farther away from our home, it gets even harder. a 9:00 start time would be much better for us, perhaps a poll would be in order if anyone else wants to discuss this.
I look forward to the next BB event. |

The 8am time was chosen because of the amount of traffic on Saturday mornings that occurs as the morning progresses. We are normally a large group and take up quite a bit of space.
I'm happy to move them later in the morning if that's what people want though. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

| I can respect that, I know that when we left the machine shead at around 9:00 it wasn't that busy, but I'm sure the OCB's get more traffic. 9:00 is my ideal time, but even 8:30 would help. |
