You may have noticed in the news that NASA successfully placed a rover on Mars last night. I was watching this closely because my lab built a critical component for the altimeter necessary for bringing this guy down safely. I gave a big sigh of relief while watching the event live on CNN when I heard mission control say "The altimeter has a lock!" shortly before landing. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! I would you make a virtual out of it, but.....well...... did you attach a travel bug?
Did they ever hear from the one that was supposed to land Christmas Day? _________________ Save the earth.

No. The Europeans and Japanese both had failed missions in the past couple of weeks. The second NASA probe arrives in three weeks. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

My pen froze so I couldn't sign the log, but I snapped this photo as proof that I found the cache. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Just missed being FTF. It was a long journey, but worth the trip. Coordinates were dead-on. Cache was dry and fully stocked. Took a red rock, left a balloon. TFTC.

Well - I headded out to the Mars cache today. Glad I finally found a day to do it! You know - Fall can be busy and all. My GPS wasn't working quite right, so I planned on following rickrich's footprints, but the dang solar winds seemed to have blown them away... Just a note : if anyone else is having a problem with their GPS up there, it's because you need an MPS (Mars Positioning System)...

AW-geez- that explains it all. We were sitting out on a ledge -star gazing- when we were in the BW a few days ago- we thought there were some strange movements up there- but couldn't make them out- it was GPSers- WOW thanks for solving the mystery!! _________________ LIFE IS GOOD;CABIN LIFE IS GREAT |
