w00t! My first event got approved! Looking like it'll be a group FTF on KB's Earthcache, unless anyone decides to fork out the bucks and beat the event. What's better is KB will be there to verify everyone's find personally.

So get posting if you're interested in showing up, as I'll need that final number on the 19th for the permit.

Hmm, I know my luck with finding geocaches, wonder how I'll manage on finding fossils?

Great event. Thanks for setting it up. The grand finale was an unexpected rush. How fast can a dozen geocachers get off a mountain, during a rainstorm?

Did anyone NOT get wet?

hah! not here. That makes the 4th time this year I've driven home from a caching experience soaked to the bone.

All in good fun though. I'm hoping everyone else had fun with it. Was quite the mad dash to the cars though.

I don't know why I thought this was next weekend--sounds like I missed a good time!!! I had my own little adventure up on Rice Creek when the storms started hitting the cities--It wasn't too bad when I went to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and Pow R. Toc H., then got darker and darker as I made my way to New Miss Mania (IV), and by the time I got that cache rehidden, I couldn't even see the screen of my GPS without the backlight on, and the rain hit as soon as I got back up to the road. I figured I was going to be drenched anyhow, so I started walking the .5 miles back to the car, then I had to start running when the sirens started going off and I saw a power transformer on a nearby pole blow up.
