Some of you may already be aware of this. I recently bought the 2005 edition of the Hudson's Street Atlas. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are publishing GPS coordinates on their grid square maps now.
This recently came in very handy when I was trying to find a cache in an unfamiliar neighborhood in the west metro. I solved a puzzle to get the coordinates, but then I drove around trying to find a way to get to the area, only to be assaulted by numerous cul-de-sacs and dead ends.
I stopped at a nearby CVS Pharmacy and picked up the Hudson's so I could get a general idea of the layout of the streets in that neighborhood. Then I noticed the GPS grids and thought, wow, perfect! I was then quickly able to find a couple of through streets that led me right to the park. Handy feature for those times when you have the coordinates, but don't know the area or how to get to it. |

| The 2004 edition also had lat/long numbers (using seconds rather than thousandths of a minute). They appeared to be slightly inaccurate but it's close enough for finding the right streets to follow--nice for those of us who aren't technologically savvy enough to have something electronic to do the job. |
