Heard about this on the national threads.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent
NBC May 08 09:00pm EST
Series/Drama, 60 Mins.
"The Unblinking Eye"
A young actor is wounded and his fiancee killed, leading detectives to look into a high-tech treasure-hunting game called geocaching.
Not that I really care for Law & Order, but perhaps a one time exception. |

Tonight's episode (I missed the geocaching part because Family Guy > *) was pretty terrible. I am a huge L&O fan and that one did the series (and their cousins) no justice. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I don't think the geocaching part of the episode was hurtful to the sport but I also don't think it was helpful at all. It showed some of the very basics to the sport while incorrectly representing some parts of it (burying caches is the big one here).
I'm always curious to hear how cachers learned about the sport. I'd be curious to see how many come to caching because of this. |

Featured on Law & Order: CI
Geocaching was featured on Law & Order: Criminal Intent this evening, May 8. Contrary to the creative license taken by the show's writers, we strictly do not list caches that are buried. We also welcome those who saw the show this evening! |

I had an earlier post about that burying the cache- deleted it because I thought people would think I was being picky- I guess then we get into that old debate- do we want the publicity or not - oh-oh- what did I start now? oops _________________ LIFE IS GOOD;CABIN LIFE IS GREAT |

I don't know what you started, but if it goes south, I'm sure I'll be riding the bandwagon all the way down putting my two cents in.
Speking of which : I should stay on topic.
My opinion is that we should publicize and promote Geocaching as well and as much as we possibly can. Many times rumors get started, and it's much better to just come out and set things straight, then to have to straighten things out once people have a faulse perspective. |
