Missing:
North Mississippi Regional Park, River Trail, Wild Rice County Park, Kordiak County Park, Manomin County Park, <edit> West Moore Lake Park
BUT
a surprise was waiting at Manomin. Sorry, no details yet. There was another person's cache where mine should have been. _________________ Joined: 16 Dec 2002

i can't help but wonder how you would know that there's somebody else's cache where one of yours was if you haven't been there to see it.
i looked at your manomin park cache page, but it doesn't report that there's a replacement cache there, so how could you know it is indeed there?
the post from the "sheriff" reads: You must check this one out for yourself, my King. Strange residuals left, in exchange?
how would you know that means somebody left another cache?
i double-checked the definition of residual.
1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of a residue.
2. Remaining as a residue.
why would you assume another cache was the remaining residue? the definition would imply something less than a cache. that's an awful large conclusion you've jumped to.

i just replied to a post that was quickly removed. you know what i'm talking about s4xton.
it noted that the alleged replacement cache at manomin is full of missing bugs. how is all this information about a replacement cache known when the king claims not to have visited it yet? |

I posted that I thought it was interesting all of the "Sheriff of Nottingham" posts, and linked to list of Sheriff of Nottingham logs, but then it was pointed out to me that was likely KB, so I deleted it.
The bit about the bugs was because KB must have visisted it, as there are photos of my a friends' cache that was moved there. KB e-mailed my friend with the photos. For some reason he's being quiet about it at this point, and if there is a reason he's being quiet about it, I've likely said too much already.
Sorry for the confusion, Hardware.

i too assume the king is also the sheriff.
so apparently the king reported this afternoon that several of his caches are missing, claims not to have visited the new site, but is certain there's a different cache there. if he's the sheriff that would explain how he knows that the manomin cache is missing.
so since this afternoon he has e-mailed your friend and said, "hey, this looks like your cache, and it has a bunch of travel bugs that have been missing."
therefore somebody is stealing bugs and caches all over the place and put a bunch of bugs in a stolen cache that was dropped off at a boreas site? so am i to assume that all caches are now moving caches, and the next time i vist a rock johnson cache i'm going to find a moe the sleaze container? |

I guess you can assume whatever you want.
I felt that it was proper to notify the cache owner, and relate details of what happened, arrange pickup or delivery, before I publicly stated what it was. I'm not looking at my post, but I never meant/claimed that I had not been there.
The Sheriff does not use a dictionary, and whatever words he uses, are used according to his definitions.
I was reporting my losses, and alerting people about what I found. I guess that was a mistake.
NMRP: cache and sticks were removed, the tree was filled with rocks
River Trail: the stump was totally demolished, no cache
Kordiak: a baggie, one logsheet, and a brown bag
Wild Rice: logs and sticks removed from stump, no cache
West Moore Lake: leaves and sticks gone, no cache
Manomin: barely any cover left, a blue gladware bowl underneath _________________ Joined: 16 Dec 2002

As soon as I read that article in the St. Paul paper this week, I thought," Oh Great! More un-needed publicity that will bring out the wreakers." Just as we have people who send viruses via the Internet, so will there be spoilers in geocaching. It is too bad, but it is a fact of life that in every field there is the dark side of people who have to spoil it for other s. |

| Yes not only did the Earle Brown Center mysteriously burn down but on the same night someone walked off with all the giant sculptures at the Camden sculpture garden. I heard they were trying to send Saturn into Earth orbit. Coincidence???? |
