|
The pre-MOGA planning meeting is in the works as we are actually getting down to the nitty gritty here. I am thinking either Friday the 25th at 7:30pm or Saturday the 26th at 2pm.
We would hold this at the Blackdog Cafe in St. Paul (easy access from 35E, 94, etc). They have a good sized area for people to chill at tables and we have held a board meeting there with great success. Plenty of snacks and beverages of all types (including some really good root beer that I recommend).
Current list of people attending:
JT, Towlebooth, Moe the Sleaze, Silent Bob, Team Hooligan, Arcticabn, s4xton, and Onied Cooky.
If you are not listed above I forgot you or you haven't been vocal about your attendance recently. Remind me please.
Currently we are leaving on Thursday 4/7/05 and returning sometime (probably in the late afternoon/evening) on 4/11/05. Plan vacation time accordingly.
If you are coming I ask that you attend the meeting. We will be doing equipment planning, carpool planning, and sleeping arrangements. I am going to be paying the park for my food and I suggest you do the same. Please note that they only accept cash.
If you are going I suggest registering w/them here: http://www.geostl.com/mambo/content/view/132/138/ now. I don't know when they will stop taking reservations but the early cacher gets the FTF.
Right now there is one team event paid for and we have 8 total (from my memory) so we could theoretically have another made up. Just something to think about.
Please vote in the poll. It will close on Friday the 11th (two days) to give everyone two weeks to put it on their calendar.
If you are not planning on attending MOGA this year you don't need to attend. If you are just interested in seeing what it is all about you are more than welcome to join us but please don't vote. _________________ Sad state of affairs.

They also have a few good wines, and a couple intereseting bottles of beer.
Michelle, who works there, is a sweetheart and makes a great pizza from scratch.

I just realized that Friday is Good Friday which may be a problem for some people. Perhaps an evening earlier in the week might be more popular. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Voted for Sat but either work for me.
Are we being fair to Craig? Black dog isn't really central. . .
Maybe a caching trip to Hinckley or Moose Lake? |

He's not required to come but it wouldn't be fair to the 7 of us to drive 1.5 hours north for 1 other. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

That's why I suggested Hinckley. Lot closer to us. Whatever - just trying to pull your head out of the metro. |

I'm not quite sure you understood me when I said that it would be unfair for us to require 7 of us to drive 1.5 hours. It wouldn't be fair to require him to drive 138 miles or 220 miles. Thus why I said he doesn't have to come. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I'll take notes and let him know all about the important things, and the unimportant things. I'll even let him know about stuff that don't mean didly if he wants to know! I've made the trip many times to that area on a good day if no one gets in your way 3 1/2 hrs one way!! It's not fair to anyone to have to drive that far when we can keep in touch right here! |

You tech geeks have to figure out a way to get this meeting on line with streaming A/V. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

No internet at the Black Dog Café. I have tried many, many times, as I used to live next door.
I do have an iChat AV setup with an iSight though... not sure if Team Hooligan has that and broadband... =)
