| That's funny, we swung by there last summer while taking OrangePeril on his first geocaching run - I think we hit a few traditionals, a multi, that virtual, and benchmark on the same afternoon before finding Chipotle to finish it off. While there, a friendly set of locals told us that certain times of the year (one day, or one weekend?) the tower is actually open to the public, and you can walk up to check out the view from the top. We'd missed it by one week when we were there in June, bummer! Anyway, fwiw... |

The Highland Tower in St. Paul (Snelling Ave., across from where Ford Parkway terminates) is open twice a year, once during Highland fest, and again in the fall for viewing colors. The times it's open are on the St. Paul water district's website--the Minneapolis water district's website probably has the dates the Witch's Hat Tower is open to the public. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

| I believe it's open sometime in June when they have an ice cream social there. I may check it out this year as it's fairly close to work. |
