I planning on attending. I am currious as to how these events works. I need to log 20 miles yet this week so this seems a good place to do it. Diggin4-it and I were hoping to go to MO but not looking good right now, but if it works out this will a good preparation.

I have a cooks hat for ya KB Laughing

You guys did a great job. I know that there was a lot of work that went into planning and implementing this event. It is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We didn't have professional timing equipment so times were rounded down to the nearest 5 second interval. Here is everyone that found all 10 stages. I am impressed with everyone that found all of them. Note that not all participants were racing and some were finding other caches in the park or stopping to socialize.

2:52:25 Mark - MR Andersen
2:53:30 Keith - wiracer24
3:19:10 David - ArcticAbn
3:19:30 Alan - natloh2
3:41:30 Terry - Paklid
3:49:20 Matt - 15Tango
4:13:50 Steve - Stevoreno
4:24:10 Chester and Matt - ArmyMen (? Couldn't verify account name)
4:24:45 Jonas and Julia - Jonas and Julia
5:04:50 Dale - Oneied Cooky

6 people on record also got some of the stages:

08 Team Hooligan
06 Minnesota
05 Mucluck
05 Good-Boy
05 Brjzn
04 loneeagle_24 (who later went on to hunt the other caches in the park)

In addition:

Paul of wiracer24 ran most of the course but lost the punch sheet. JT arrived after many people completed the course and brought firewood, which topped the event off perfectly. TwentySeven showed up with his kids to hang out. Jillibean and Towlebooth made a surprise visit after Towlebooth already left - and they switched dogs. Moe, Silent Bob and Towlebooth were out wandering around the course and helping a people out during most of the Punch-Out, in addition to keeping entertaining subjects on the radios.

This was a lot of fun for me to help out with... but I haven't been this exhausted in a very long time. Let me know if I've screwed anything up with the above stats - I'm really out of it. Time for me to pass out.

Good times!!! I forgot to reset my trip odometer on the GPS until I was almost to my second waypoint, but I think I logged nearly 9 miles, and I'm feeling every step right now. Time to use my health club and geocaching membership to get myself back into shape. Thanks to the guys who put in the time to set this up, and thanks to JT for bringing firewood--it was nice to stand around the fire and listen to geocaching war stories as we were unwinding from the hike. And thanks to Loneeagle for the brats.

I made it home last night about midnight. Got about halfway home and was so tired I took a nap for about 2 hours. Just getting up this morning. It took about 10 minutes just to get out of bed this morning. Now I'll have to get all of the caches logged that I found yesterday, & the one that I couldn't find.

My cubicle here at work smells like a bon-fire with my jacket that I wore Saturday hanging nearby. Wheeew!

I went out caching last night and realized that I had to do a bit more drying on my boots. I put them in front of the vent in the living room and went upstrairs to grab my GPS... I came back downstairs and the whole house smelled like a woodfire. I was freaking out thinking the house was on fire.

Nope, just my boots stinking up the joint.

My jacket and scarf just got out of the laundry. My hat went through a couple days ago. My boots stayed pretty dry through the whole thing, though!

When I left the event I went straight over to a friends house. He asked me,"Did you came over with the kids because your house burned down?" Wink

A friend came into my cube Monday morning bemoaning the fact that he has not been camping in six months. I handed him the sleeve of my coat to smell.

He hasn't spoken to me since! Laughing

He probably could smell the sweat from all that walking. I wouldn't want to speak to anyone w/that BO either.
