Just got finished watching a new story about a man that was stuck on the side of a cliff for the last 24 hours before being rescued. I immediately recognized the location in Red Wing. It was right above where the bridge crosses the river and is called "Barn Cliff." There is a cache located there "Barn Bywater":

The news article did not identify the individual and all they said was that he stated he was out hiking.
If anyone hears anything please post. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

I thought the same thing when I saw the story... The station I work at was the one that did the story last night. Police were not IDing the victim until today... so we won't know his real name until then. I pulled the tapes and watched the interviews for the fire department officials and one of them said he had several layers of winter clothing on for hiking and a navigational tool. Nothing mentioned about a GPSr or if the individual was geocaching.
The story is on the website for your viewing pleasures... www.wcco.com |

Funny, my first thought, when I heard about him, was, "Now why did he up that way?" But then I remembered a group that went up to memorial park the direct way. (Straight up) Giggles. _________________ Save the earth.

Well it's the way I went up and back down when I did the cache. But then again I did it in June. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |
